Synchronization of hidden chaotic attractors on the example of radiophysical oscillators

In the present paper we consider the problem of synchronization of hidden and self-excited attractors in the context of application to a system of secure communication. The system of two coupled Chua models was studied. Complete synchronization was observed as for self-excited, as hidden attractors. Beside it for hidden attractors some special type of dynamic was revealed.

El presente estudio describe la competencia digital en el tratamiento de contenidos de Ciencias Sociales de futuros maestros. Para ello se recurre al TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) y se analizan los resultados de un cuestionario sobre las concepciones al respecto de 153 estudiantes del Grado de Magisterio en Educación Primaria. The Aqua-Planet Experiment (APE): CONTROL SST Simulation

Climate simulations by 16 atmospheric general circulation models (AGCMs) are compared on an aqua-planet, a water-covered Earth with prescribed sea surface temperature varying only in latitude. The idealised configuration is designed to expose differences in the circulation simulated by different models. Basic features of the aqua-planet climate are characterised by comparison with Earth. The models display a wide range of behaviour. The balanced component of the tropospheric mean flow, and mid-latitude eddy covariances subject to budget constraints, vary relatively little among the models. Formation of superstructures in protein aggregation processes has been indicated as a general pathway for several proteins, possibly playing a role in human pathologies. There is a severe lack of knowledge on the origin of such species in terms of both mechanisms of formation and structural features. We use equine lysozyme as a model protein, and by combining spectroscopic techniques and microscopy with X-ray fiber diffraction and ab initio modeling of Small Angle X-ray Scattering data, we isolate the partially unfolded state from which one of these superstructures (i.e., particulate) originates. Remarks on regularity for p-Laplacian type equations in non-divergence form

We study a singular or degenerate equation in non-divergence form modeled by the $p$-Laplacian, $$-|Du|^\gamma\left(\Delta u+(p-2)\Delta_\infty^N u\right)=f\ \ \ \ \text{in}\ \ \ \Omega.$$ We investigate local $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity of viscosity solutions in the full range $\gamma>-1$ and $p>1$, and provide local $W^{2,2}$ estimates in the restricted cases where $p$ is close to 2 and $\gamma$ is close to 0.

Pētījuma ietvaros tiek pielietota Beijesa modeļu svēršana (BMA) un vispārīgā momentu metode (GMM) Globālās Konkurētspējas apakšindeksu (GCI) datiem, lai identificētu strukturālo reformu jomas, kas var nozīmīgi paātrināt Latvijas ekonomisko izaugsmi. Novērtējumu rezultāti, kuros ņemta vērā gan modeļu nenoteiktība, gan endogenitāte liecina, ka ekonomisko izaugsmi var veicināt ar augstākām investīcijām, zemāku administratīvo slogu, stabilāku makroekonomisko vidi, paaugstinātu ārvalsts tiešo investīciju kvalitāti, kā arī ar attīstītākiem uzņēmējdarbības klasteriem. Modelling the influence of automaticity of behaviour on physical activity motivation, intention and actual behaviour

In research and in practise social-cognitive models, such as the theory of planned behaviour (TPB), are used to predict physical activity behaviour. These models mainly focus on reflective cognitive processes. As a reflective process, intention is thought to be the most proximal predictor to behaviour. Nevertheless, research suggests that the relation between intention and actual behaviour, the so called intention-behaviour gap, is moderate. Many health-related actions in daily life are performed repetitively and with minimal forethought.
